Chinese Porcelain Pottery

Chinese porcelain pottery was believed to be used early in the 16th century during the Shang dynasty. Chinese porcelain was mainly made from China clay and pottery stone. Known for its luster, durability, pleasant color, beautiful texture and inflexible quality of hard enamel, porcelain materials were widely used by ordinary people in ancient China to create beautiful Chinese porcelain potteries for their daily use. The transition of porcelain potteries began to increase from dynasty to dynasty and the styles of porcelain began changing from region to region. Hard and delicate Celadon and black porcelain replaced the early porcelain pottery during Han dynasty and blue porcelain was developed in Yuan dynasty. Region of Hebei province were known for white porcelain.

The artists of the time crafted decorative patterns, printings, and colors on porcelain potteries. They employed various techniques to engrave flowers and glazing on the pottery and their great work reveals their creativity and excellence even today.
