Chinese pottery and vases are the oldest and the most expensive artworks of China that dates back to the Neolithic age. Though the dominant purpose of Chinese pottery and vases were to use them as kitchenwares and flower vases in ancient China, these beautiful artworks are now used solely for ornamental and exhibitory purposes. Different dynasties in China produced different types of Chinese potteries such as the traditional clay potteries of Neolithic age were replaced by tricolor glazed potteries, purple clay potteries, bronze potteries etc. Chinese potteries were usually created from jade and porcelain whereas the Chinese vases used crystal and other materials also.
Chinese vases come in different images- mostly associated with women and nature. The images symbolize various emotions like laughter, hatred, agony, vengeance and activities done by women such as sweeping, planting, fishing etc. They were created with different peculiar and unique shapes and sizes with enchanting colors.
